Your Travel Route: Lusaka – Mumbwa – Hook bridge – Mwamfushi Safari Lodge of the Kafue National Park, central region
Introduction. This is an exciting day of you travelling by road from Lusaka to Mwamfushi Safari Lodge situated in the central region of the Kafue National Park using our vehicle.
Note: The distance between Lusaka and Mwamfushi Safari Lodge in the central region of the Kafue National Park is 310 kms. You will do all your activities in the Chunga Management Area inside the central region of the Kafue National Park.
Order of the program.
Pick-up point is LEVY MALL JUNCTION in Lusaka, capital city of Zambia.
08:00 am: You will be picked from the parking yard of Levy Mall junction in front of StayEasy Hotel Lusaka. Accompanied by our tour guide and driver, you will travel westward using our vehicle on the Lusaka – Mongu (M9) road. The final destination will be Mwamfushi Safari Lodge situated in the central region of the Kafue National Park but physically located in the Namwala Game Management Area.
NOTE: Please be at LEVY MALL congregation point outside StayEasy Hotel by 06:30 am in order to attend the briefing session.
Accommodation: You will stay and sleep in nice and comfortable Safari tents on beds and mattresses at Mwamfushi Safari lodge. The good news is that at Mwamfushi Safari Lodge, there is WIFI available for you to communicate with friends and relatives back home.

- Exclusive wildlife viewing activities in the central part of the Kafue National Park in the Chunga Game Management Area.
Program of the day
07:30 am: Wake up from Mwamfushi Safari Lodge situated on the banks of Kafue River. Thereafter you will take your sumptuous breakfast.
08:30 am: You will then leave for Chunga game management area of the Kafue National Park – central region for game viewing using either our closed up safari vehicle or Mwamfushi Safari Lodge.
09:30 am – 10:30 am: Enter into the Chunga Management Area inside the Kafue National Park – central region for game viewing.
14:00 pm – Proceed to various Inner Loops in Chunga along the river for more wildlife viewing.
19:00 pm – 21:30 pm: Evening dinner and relaxation with friends.
21:00 pm: Retire to bed to sleep.

Sequence of events on this day
Wake in the morning and take your sumptuous breakfast at the lodge.
Narration: You will depart from Mwamfushi Safari Lodge of Kafue National Park back to Lusaka.
Final Phase: Arrive in Lusaka, capital city of Zambia at LEVY MALL JUNCTION
- Transport from Levy Mall Junction to Mwafushi Safari Lodge of Kafue National Park and return to Lusaka.
- Meals and mineral water during the tour.
- Safari Tent accommodation at Mwamfushi Safari Lodge situated in Namwala Game Management Area.
- All activities listed in the itinerary.
- Non Zambians are excluded from booking and undertaking this tour. Proof of being a Zambian citizen by showing your green national registration card is a mandatory requirement before booking this tour.
- Alcoholic beverages are excluded in this package
- Any activities not listed in the package.
- The duration of this package cannot extended be without consulting Lochinvar Safaris.
- Transport to and from your home to Levy Mall junction to commence/end your tour.
- Deviation to any other destination not listed in this itinerary.
Kindly travel light but carry adequate clothing for travelling, and for walking around, and game viewing. You must to pack their mosquito repellant as we are still a wet season full of mosquitoes everywhere in Zambia. Masking up in public places is no longer a requirement in Zambia.
Other items to carry include:
- Please carry your Zambian National Registration Card (NRC). This is a mandatory requirement for you to be able to enter the Kafue National Park.
- Comfortable walking shoes and open sandals.
- Full sleeve less bright colored tops for game viewing excursion.
- Umbrellas and if possible a hat to protect them from sunshine just in case it gets hot. Carry jersey just in case it gets cold. Carry also just one or two light blankets in case of a car breakdown.
- Small bottle of sanitizers, small bottle of glycerin and personal tower.
- Any other personal items for your convenience such as ATM, Visa cards e.t.c. In case you want special wine and drinks to celebrate their holiday, you are better off buying them in Lusaka where it is cheap as compared to Kafue National Park. Getting smaller cooler box will not be a bad idea as well to cool off your drinks. Please you must not forget their toast paste and tooth brushes.
Cancellation and Refunds:
- 2 months before departure date: Full refund of the money paid.
- 1 month before departure date: 50% refund of the money already paid.
- 1 – 15 days before departure date: 30% refund of the money already paid
- 14 – 1 day before departure date: No refund (Customer loses money already paid)
